A bit about myself

From directing music videos for some of the UK’s top music artists, to writing full length publications for the leading advertising publicist in the UK. My creative work massively differs from one project to another, which has shaped my skills across a wide variety of disciplines.

The shift into marketing came very early on within my own projects, talked about above. Working within smaller sized music labels was my first experience with the expectation of producing exceptional results on a shoestring budget, a trend that would continue even now. Developing talent, running social/communication channels and building a brand that followers could connect with was key. With some freelance brand consultancy in between, this lead onto my current position of Marketing Executive for a startup trade body organisation representing Independent Marketing Agencies. This current role within a small team requires cover for all things communications, social media management, asset creation and further brand development.

My Past Experience

Marketing & Communications Manager at The Barn Agency
(2024 – Current)
Took responsibility for building agency profile by fostering Ecom partnerships to expand new biz funnels. Conceptualising and creating case studies, newsletters and managing the company website. Managed ad funnels for luxury B2C brands across Google, LinkedIn, and Meta, helping to drive stronger engagement and conversions. Developed creative lead magnet campaigns to attract and nurture leads while acting as project manager in a tight-knit agency/brand environment. Developed and executed long-term marketing strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on content pillar creation and website/landing page optimisation to drive lead generation and enhance user experience.

Marketing Manager at The Alliance Of Independent Agencies
(2022 – 2024)
Promoted internally with the responsibility of taking full control of all marketing practices within the organisation. Including the development of all social channels, creation and execution of many email funnels, taking full control of all external communications and advising on modern content approaches to bring the brand out of its echo chamber and into the mainstream. While expanding the Alliance client base nationally while executing several brand-building campaigns including paid media, organic content lead growth, video marketing and creative direction on large in-person events.

Responsible for the creation and management of all company communications including email comms, paid advertising, weekly/monthly newsletters, and all social media content. Alongside creating and maintaining client partnerships, I was heavily involved with ongoing task of modernizing the brand through implementing a content focused approach. Took lead in full stack content creation alongside coordination and implementation of CRM tools across our tech stack.

Content Manager/Copywriter at WhyYStudios
(2018 – 2021)
Took leadership of client contracts to develop online branding of client’s websites and socials, while developing and executing growth strategies to facilitate strengthened industry presence. Created and maintained client websites for extended periods of time, updating web copy and creating new content consistently to attract new leads, while providing value to existing visitors. Developed countless pieces of content including web copy, blog posts, long form articles for numerous clients across several different industries.

Brand & Communications Assistant at XOSA Studios
(2020 – 2021)
Developed branding strategy and artist development strategy to bring artists and the label itself to the forefront of mainstream media, while developing the long term image of the brand. 1 on 1 development with artists to develop their image, sound and personal branding. Large scale brand development including putting together marketing strategies for projects, creating connections with potential clients, artists and media companies.
