With the music industry moving as rapidly as it always has. It was within my best interest to get involved. An opportunity to work with one of hip-hop’s most influential UK artists presented itself and I grabbed it with both hands. Working with 0 budget, a small team and gigantic ideas; the task was to plan and execute a boxing-themed music video that included our trademark high energy camera work, precise editing and new-age animation style to create a piece that had extended replay value and followed our clients brief of “just make it look good”.

The largest hurdle to overcome was of course 0 budget. At first, the video was planned to just be a run of the mill performance styled video. Nothing crazy. As the song itself started racking up 10,000’s of plays weekly, it was clear we had to perform to a heightened expectation. With this being our first major artist project, our own expectations of what we wanted to produce quickly increased. Rewriting treatments, organising multiple shoot locations and taking on more external help rapidly occurred to make sure we exceeded expectations.

The final project was scheduled for release on GRM’s premium platform which gave our project the official seal of approval, to the collective 200,000 subsequent viewers, that we made the absolute most out of a single opportunity and pushed it to heights that were once deemed unattainable.
